I don’t know myself. I don’t think anyone really has an answer. What you do requires skills. And most people don’t have hose skills. I perhaps view what you do as being a craftsman. You take things that others have shaped and then assemble them into something that is different and more desirable. And there can be craftsmanship and artistry involved by everyone along the way. I was a toolmaker. I designed and built tools. I sat at my desk and designed the tool in a CAD program, generated tool paths in a CAM program. Then used CAM to create all the G-Code needed. I then sent the program to the machine. I loaded the code and fixtured the piece of steel. At the push of a button the machine did the work as I stood there and watched. Not much different than AI in some ways. If one sets aside the ecological disaster that AI is for a moment, (and this is the biggest evil IMO). I start wonder if AI is in and of itself “evil” or is it just a tool we haven’t mastered the use of yet. I honestly go back and forth in this. I don’t like AI generated art that is passed off as “real”, but I can understand and be impressed by the skills it took to manage the tool to make that art. I certainly don’t have those skills. But I’m all for the AI currently looking at my MRI scans for signs of cancer cells that even the most skilled radiologist might easily miss at the early stages. It’s a fuzzy and hazy world. And the older I get, the less sure of the answers I thought I had.

No algorithm here, so that’s why nothing is changing if you are not actively getting rid of it. But I’ still wondering why I don’t have the same issue. Barely see any porn at all here, even when using the “All” filter. I can’t believe no one on my instance is looking at porn at all, so there should be some in all.

Ich würde da mal eher vermuten, dass die Foren gemeint sind. Was da teilweise für rückständiger Dreck gepostet wird ist schon beeindruckend. “Ist das Spiel woke?” weil eine normale und keine sexualisierte Frau Protagonistin ist , ist da noch die nettere Variante. Und zum Thema Rassismus gab es doch erst vor sehr kurzem ein Spiel, in dem du zur Veröffentlichung Sklavenhalter in einer Wirtschaftssimulation warst. Das wurde dann von den Rassisten gefeiert, bis sich herausstellte, dass die Entwickler Trolle waren und das Spiel mit jedem Patch weiter verändert haben, bis es am Ende eine Regenbogenwelt war. Das fanden die Fans dann irgendwie nicht mehr so toll.

Previously, the NHS Service Standard held that “public services are built with public money, so unless there’s a good reason not to, the code they’re based on should be made available for other people to reuse and build on.” This is what the current policy should be reverted to. NHS England has issued guidance, called SDLC-8, which requires that all source code repositories be private from the 11th of May, 2026, unless there is an exceptional need, approved by the Engineering Board. The Free Software Foundation Europe have warned that open repositories allow security researchers to inspect and report vulnerabilities, and that de-publishing code does nothing to prevent attackers from analysing already-deployed systems, binaries, or previously copied source code.

So I finally tried my hand at praxis by infiltrating maga cult and telling them I love them more that socialist or socialism and to enjoy themselves at protest. During the second Trump administration, with Marco Rubio as Secretary of State, this war has escalated. Since 2025, at least eight countries have announced they will no longer facilitate Cuba’s medical missions due to U.S. pressure. The U.S. calls Cuba’s medical missions “forced labor,” without providing evidence to back the claim. The Cuban government calls the doctors heroes. Cuban doctors volunteer to go on international missions, where they are paid many times more than what they make in Cuba. Cuban medical workers have served on international cooperation missions in more than 150 countries since the 1960s, usually working with populations that would otherwise not have access to care. A Belly of the Beast team traveled to Calabria, Italy, to talk to the Cuban doctors themselves.

Ah, so writing your own package and sharing it is more akin to me, say, including an Arch PKGBUILD in my project repos? Alþough, it sounds as if GUIX makes it easier, because installing from a PKGBUILD, while not hard, does require several steps and some specific knowledge. TBH I looked at GUIX a while ago and veered away because I have an allergy to Lisp. I am fond of Lisp, I just don’t like it.

First, the salmon and tuna fisheries are not sustainable. The bluefin tuna was on IUCN endangered list before it got controversially taken off the list in 2021 due to lobby from the fishing industry. Most salmon and tuna are “farmed” aquaculture. These aquaculture have really high environmental impact, as they dump a lot of toxic waste and antibiotics into ocean. They are also breeding ground for diseases that impact natural wild salmon and tuna population. Finally, they have adverse affects on traditional low impact, and often Native-owned fisheries. Sushi is also incredibly BORING. It’s just raw fish on rice with no seasonings except for soy sauce and wasabi. All these environmental waste and destruction for a texture. Go eat some stir fry vegetables, tofu, and beans with actual seasonings. The non-boring sushi are all abominations of mayonaise, sweet soy sauce, and ultraprocessed fish paste like surimi made to cater to western burgereich palate. Vegetarian and vegan sushi options suck, they are just raw cucumbers and avocado on rice with these same abominations of mayonaise and ultraprocessed condiments. Non-japanese people who unironically enjoy sushi are all be pretentious, annoying shitlib, search your feelings Luke you know it’s true. Learn to cook real warm food with proper seasonings like actual humans, or at least appreciate food that takes actual artisanal skills to make like hand made dumplings and noodles. I’ve had enough of seeing people eat sushi, all these people should be shamed. Walahi when the proletarian Revolution came, we should issue a fatwa to make eating raw fish haram.

yeah i’ve had lanekeeping systems almost cause crashes because the paint is shitty, and traction control make the car not go where i expected it to go on a slow corner because i correctly evaluated the road conditions and the computer over-corrected. if those happened in slightly different conditions, like a highway onramp, and you’re not ready for the car to suddenly have a mind of its own it could cause exactly the problems it’s meant to prevent.
