Brick Immortar - does very neutral, safety oriented breakdowns of maritime disasters (mostly) I love his narration, he speaks with a ton of authority imo and I find all the procedures and rules of ships fascinating. Animagrafs - modern marvels but shorter and on 1 topic. Extremely professional animations of big ass machines. He just did one on Big Boy steam locomotives and it was amazing to see the systems work. The Squidd - does video essays on famous cars and their histories Game makers tool kit - following his journey of learning game development History of the entire universe - incredible free documentaries about the deepest and craziest topics about our universe and reality. I listen to them to sleep I did a thing Backyard scientist William Osman ^science YouTubers, menaces Marcus house - following along with space progress, specifically starship. No clip - video game documentaries People make games - interesting stories about gaming, very professional deep dive stuff (Roblox is the devil) Regular Car Reviews - bizarre car reviews with a goofy narrator who makes a ton of literary references I think he used to be a teacher Secret Base - sports stat nerds (watch their scoragami and worst NFL punt videos) Technology connections - learn how genius some of our everyday inventions really are Zack Freedman - ADHD tech maker 3d printing nerd

AMERICAN FREEDOM!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅🦅🦅

I don’t know a lot but I made a comment about it before that I share here with some basic info and further reading. I’ll post it here. ~~===~~ TL;DR: ICE contractor ShadowDragon uses their platform SocialNet to map individuals’ digital footprints, personal data and connections across 200+ sites such as OnlyFans, WhatsApp, Roblox and Duolingo. ShadowDragon claims it accesses data in real-time without storing it, sidestepping some accountability. ICE and other agencies, including the DEA and State Department, use SocialNet for investigations, citing its utility in tracking criminal activity, despite their unwillingness to prove that criminality in court. 5 years and she never noticed anything?

i hope nobody’s taking serious this observation from twitter user ‘robloxraceplay’. Signaling you are a communist is far far less important than treating people right. If you treat people like people, and your communist beliefs only come up when it becomes salient, your past actions are far more likely to give people pause for thought than any sort of signalling or sloganeering.

Steam is basically a PC gaming monopoly, so why isn’t anyone mad?

The entire AAA video game industry right now is basically freaking out, panicking and financially imploding right now, after at least a solid decade of mainly figuring out how to waste an enormous amount of money… While all trying to be the next big live service game. A live service game isn’t so much a game as it is a platform itself, a cash shop for in game content, a social media platform in itself. (See Roblox for an extremely problematic but successful version of pulling this off) These people all failed miserably at this, such that Ubisoft imploded, EA got bought out by Saudi Blood Money, Unity itself is imploding as an organization, MSFT switched its gaming division into pure wealth extraction mode before they shut it down in ~5 years and just act as IP liscensing overlords… etc. They all tried to establish vertically integrated businesses, and despise that they can’t come close to matching Valve, the most competent horizontally built business in the entire industry. And yes, the ‘video game industry’ includes nearly all ‘video game journalists’. These people are with few exceptions, allergic to doing any actual investigative journalism, they’re mostly just paid to manipulate the flow of discourse around video games, as a form of marketing.

Why Do Kids Play Roblox? | Remap

Which is why I shared the full text of the article for your reading pleasure. The website and the article would not exist without Remap’s subscribers. They need money to exist, it’s the state of the world. But there is a massive difference between asking adult subscribers for money, versus peppering children with asks for their parents’ money every three seconds. Roblox does not need to be nearly as predatory as it currently is to survive.
