No. As someone who has played Roblox with my little brother, no it’s most certainly not. It’s a bit of a Wild West. Some of the content is fine, and some of it looks fine on the surface but disguise things you don’t want children to see.
The concern is that scammers can create fake phishy versions of sites that end in “__x.com” as ___twitter.com to trick Twitter users into divulging passwords or other sensitive info. Because to the Twitter user it’ll look like the genuine site that ends with __x.com on the Twitter app but it won’t actually be. Some examples of sites already made to prevent scammers from using them are: Netflitwitter, Ametwitter, Fedetwitter, and Roblotwitter, dot com, which falsely showed as Netflix, Amex, FedEx, and Roblox, dot com. Though I think they (xitter programmers) already manually added exceptions for the examples that trended which stopped that from happening, for those specific examples.

Yeah well, some of the most popular games in the world like Fortnite or Valorant cannot be played on Linux. Hell even Roblox which used to work was broken for 6 months this year due to a new anticheat (until it got fixed). As for Xbox Gamepass ? Streaming only. Using a Thrustmaster wheel ? Fortunately someone is working on that, but not everyone is willing or able to build and load their own drivers into the kernel. Setting aside potential “hurr hurr don’t play these games” comments ; there is no way around using windows if you want access to all PC games, not just some PC games.
My son will start college in the fall, and will be studying actuarial math, which I had never even heard of before he told me his plan. My youngest has taught me all about Dandy’s World (a game she plays on Roblox) and a cartoon Survivor-like reality show called Battle for Dream Island. Not really something that I’d spend my own time on, but I’m hoping Book wins this season.
Microtransactions don’t have to affect gameplay any more. The video games industry has successfully sold this narrative (“Please ignore cosmetic microtransactions mkay?!”) while also raising a whole new generation of gamers that value ingame cosmetics to a social-interactions-affecting degree. There’s a reason kids laugh at one another over default skins in Fortnite or lack of cash in Roblox and so on. Plus just as importantly, they normalize mtx on an industry level, making selling of other types of monetization easier in the future.
“Blue chip growth fund” is just the name of a Fidelity mutual fund. It invests at least 80% into blue chip stocks like Coca Cola and American Express, and the rest into companies it hopes will grow. The latter category includes X, Lyft, Roblox, lululemon, Rad Power Bikes and many others. Notably, a few investments in that category (like Sonder) are now completely worthless.
