Not great, to be honest. The apartment isn’t dirty, per say. It’s just very disorganized and some things don’t get done as often as I’d like. For example, laundry sort of rotates between a clean and dirty pile. Folding is rare. Dishes get done before they get gross, but I find myself regularly realizing we’re out of forks or plates and having to wash some things so we have stuff for dinner, or needing to restack dishes so we actually have one side of the sink open to use. Longer term stuff like vacuuming or dusting really only happens when we expect company, or an inspection. It’s all just sort of exhausting…

I kinda like this as a solution as well. Still completely wipes the swastika and adds niche humor.

More generally, while Qiao seems utterly in denial of police violence in Hong Kong and China—including against Black or minority populations—it is, on the other hand, highly critical of police violence in America against such groups. Earlier this year, Qiao denied that the forcible eviction of African migrant workers from their homes by Chinese police in Guangzhou took place, claiming that this was the work of capitalist landlords and business owners, then later insisting that authorities had punished those involved despite that Chinese police were involved in carrying out the evictions. Qiao generally refuses to acknowledge that the Chinese government itself carries out highly racialized policing practices in China. It should be unsurprising, then, that one will find zero mention of the vast detention camps for Uyghurs in Xinjiang in the writing of Qiao, with it currently believed that upwards of one million Uyghurs are currently detained. The existence of such camps is dismissed as simply the propaganda of western governments. Funnily enough, despite Qiao’s apparent skepticism of western media outlets, as simply being vehicles for western imperialist governments to disseminate propaganda, Qiao itself seems to consistently take the word of Chinese state media outlets at face value. Chinese authorities themselves have acknowledged the existence of such camps since October 2018, backtracking on their previous denials. These camps have been justified on the basis of claims that Uyghurs are dangerous terrorists in need of political reeducation—requiring measures to prevent Xinjiang from becoming “China’s Libya” or “China’s Syria”, according to the state-run Global Times. With its dismissal of the mass detention of Uyghurs as western propaganda, one notes that Qiao seems to have deeply internalized how Han Chinese are a minority in western contexts, then applied this view of Han Chinese in western contexts to China, viewing China as something like a subaltern nation-state. This ignores that Han Chinese are the majority in China and that, consequently, they have proved to be oppressors of minority groups—not unlike in the US, regarding how its domestic policing practices are in the service of white supremacy. It is, in fact, the same policing and surveillance technologies that circulate between Xinjiang and western-backed surveillance regimes from Ferguson to Gaza. On spectrum, theRajakx poses a question to the devs: We know the Xi’an’s mastery of gravity and material engineering is peerless - but reviewing the Railen… I’m left wondering how the heck fuel travels from the nozzle to the tank… 😄 Nicou-CIG Responded: The intention was for it to appear connected. There are plans to have a refueling hose deploy when the panel is opened, connecting through the landing gear. The law expands criminal penalties and allows for the revocation of business licenses. On Wednesday, the Foreign Interference Restriction and Enforcement Act (FIRE) went into effect in Florida, criminalizing local companies that conduct business with Cuba. RELATED: New State Institute Drives Cuban Economic Restructuring The legislation aims to curb the influence of governments considered hostile by the southern state, such as Venezuela, Iran, North Korea, China, Russia, and Syria, as well as organizations designated as terrorist groups. According to the Florida legislature, the law expands criminal penalties and allows for the revocation of business licenses for companies that operate with Cuba in violation of federal law, thus tightening economic restrictions. The law also penalizes “false statements” related to illegal business activities linked to Cuba and prohibits public officials from accepting gifts or benefits from countries considered to be of “concern.” In the face of the U.S.-imposed oil blockade, Cuba is going green. First, people started buying electric tricycles. But then they faced another problem — no way to charge them as blackouts last 20+ hours a day. Now, drivers are installing solar panels on top of their tricycles. pic.twitter.com/v0iEEOWW4Z — Belly of the Beast (@bellybeastcuba) July 1, 2026 The impact is already evident in cases like Vanguard Energy, whose business license was revoked in Miami-Dade County after attempting to export 250,000 barrels of fuel to Cuba, which generated trade tensions. Platforms like EnviosCuba.com, used by the Cuban diaspora to send food to the island, suspended operations in response to the new measures, while cities like Miami and Hialeah are investigating businesses with possible Cuban ties. The legislation also prohibits adoption agreements and surrogacy contracts with citizens of designated countries, broadening the scope of the restrictions amid growing pressure against Havana. #WeStandWithVenezuela | A first contingent from Cuba’s Special Search and Rescue Brigade has arrived in Venezuela to strengthen ongoing rescue operations following the devastating earthquakes. After nearly two decades of supporting the PS3 console generation, we wanted to let you know we will be closing the PlayStation Store on PS3, as well as on PS Vita. PlayStation Store on PS3 will close in select markets starting this year, followed by global closures for PS3 and PS Vita next year. That means new content purchases will no longer be possible once the PlayStation Store closes on these devices. To ease the transition, players will still be able to download previously purchased content after the closing date for the foreseeable future. As the PlayStation Store continues to evolve to support modern commerce systems, including updated payment processing standards, PS3 and PS Vita are no longer able to support these updates at the level required. As a result, we will need to close PlayStation Store on these devices in the timeframes as follows: Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting August 2026. Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern countries – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting late 2026. In all other countries, PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027. We know this news may be disappointing to PS3 and PS Vita players who hold a special place in their hearts for this generation of gaming. PS3 and PS Vita represent an important era in our PlayStation history, so this was not an easy decision for us to make. As we continue to expand the PlayStation experience on newer devices that most of our users are playing on today, we need to focus more resources on delivering the best gaming experiences on these platforms as we look ahead towards the future. To our amazing players, we want to give our heartfelt thanks for your ongoing passion and support, which has helped inspire us to shape PlayStation into what it is today. We are excited for the future ahead as we continue to push the boundaries of play. We look forward to having you on this journey with us as we explore new game worlds and new adventures that have yet to come.
This article by Néstor Jiménez originally appeared in the June 30, 2026 edition of La Jornada, Mexico’s premier left wing daily newspaper. Mexico City. After Morena, the Labor Party (PT), and the Ecologist Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) concluded the registration of aspirants for the internal process to define the state coordinating committees for the defense of the transformation, the national president of the maroon party, Ariadna Montiel, announced that they will apply filters so that eventually there will be candidates who comply “with all the regulations and so we avoid any character undesirable to us and to society.” She anticipated that they will ask the federal security cabinet, together with the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), to inform them whether the profiles have any irregularity. It is not, she explained, about them providing information that lets them know whether someone has bad records of any kind, but rather “that allows us to avoid nominating them, so that we fulfill our commitment to the people of Mexico to present the best candidates, and the best candidates, well, are the ones who win their poll but also pass through the filters we are proposing; that will be handled within Morena afterward.” At a press conference this Tuesday, she added that the aspirants who win their polls will undergo gender courses, in what she defined as a party conviction to combat machismo. At the same time, she reiterated that there are false lists that have circulated on social media claiming that it has already been defined where there will be male candidacies and where female ones, for the 17 gubernatorial elections in 2027. She clarified that “the polls will be conducted and we will see; what if 17 women win and there is nothing to adjust. That is my conviction. That they be only women. But well, once all the polls are applied, we will see whether the male or female gender is the one we must fulfill. And only in that case, only if it is necessary, will it be adjusted.” Meanwhile, after criticizing the beer giveaway announced by the governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García, the national president of Morena said they have filed complaints against the Movimiento Ciudadano member and will continue to do so. And in labeling the beer giveaway a “frivolity” by García, she stressed that “deep down, the most serious thing is the corruption” of his government and the abandonment of the state. She questioned that, faced with the water problems the population suffers in various parts of the state, resources are allocated in that way. Nuevo León “is in total governmental abandonment; now it is not us saying it, the governor stated that he was going to switch into party mode and that, as those who govern, they must take with complete seriousness the task of hosting the World Cup in the state capital,” she indicated. Montiel also considered that the proposals presented last week by the PAN sum up its narrative in its quest to return to the neoliberal past, and branded the panistas as interventionists and traitors to the homeland. What it represents “is a very right-wing mentality, very much against human rights, that revives this vision of the past and that also, for example, on security, which is their first issue, well, they never talk about addressing the root causes, they never talk about supporting people, about giving them better living conditions… that is what we think of their project, which is not a project but a rehash of what Mexico already lived through, so that is what I think of the PAN.” In reference to the protests the blue-and-white party launched last Thursday as its “solutions for Mexico,” she said it is the strategy they have applied in the governments of that political force, but that they have not produced any result. News Briefs Morena Will Apply Filters to Aspirants to Avoid “Undesirable” Candidates: Montiel July 1, 2026 Morena will vet aspirants via the security cabinet and treasury’s Financial Intelligence Unit ahead of the 17 governorships up for grabs in 2027. In the cyclical dance of cosmic evolution we stand at the threshold of a paradox. The renaissance we await and work towards is not written in this present cycle or yuga. While The critical mass has been achieved; enough souls have torn aside the veils of illusion to glimpse the fuckery woven into the fabric of our reality. This is but the first act. The resistant minorities wield their power through brute force by proxy, organized under the invisible architecture of belief, a fortress built from millennia of suppressed and hoarded gnosis. Essentially, despite the energy for planetary transformation is active, the next steps remain generally unknown and are locked away. Where is the temple for those who walk this path alone? Where do we (can we) celebrate without fear? No altar calls, no dogma. Only the raw, unmediated transmission from the daemonic void itself, a direct current which demands no faith in others, only in the unshakable truth of one’s own reflective self. Thus, to the open-minded with sight I say, fortify your self. The time for collective upliftment is still unformed, those stars are clearly unaligned. Until then, obfuscate your light as a secret seed meant for times and generations ahead. Move through the world with the discipline of the ascetic. Survive intact. Influence and meditate. The old world will end, but the phoenix does not sing, it still waits. And waiting, in this case, is an act of rebellion. Oorahhhhh.

It’s up for yearly review now instead of a quick nod and business as usual for 16 years. This does not favor the US economy in any way and might actually improve trade for Canada and Mexico, complicating customs for US consumers as many goods come in from Mexico and leave towards Canada. It’ll make it more expensive to import AND export goods, and might further weaken the global dollar. The only people that could benefit are smugglers and import/export businesses. Whose idea was this? Art Vandalay?

I can’t think of an example right now but I absolutely cannot watch French films with English subtitles and vice versa because I spend too much time raging at inaccuracies. Or I get caught thinking about how I would translate something myself and I quite literally lose the plot. I get that translation cannot always be 100% accurate to account for cultural differences for example, but sometimes it’s just plain wrong.
