That’s stupid to have. It was stupid when Twitter and YouTube did it, it was stupid when Roblox did it, it is still stupid here.
I agree. For people like us, we just adapt. Mainstream users don’t, and the most popular software is currently unsupported: Apps Adobe Autodesk Microsoft Office QuickBooks, Quicken, TurboTax FL studio Ableton Live Solidworks Final draft SketchUp Games Fortnite FIFA Apex Valorant LOL Madden GTA Valorant Rainbow Six Siege Destiny 2 Roblox
As usual, we got another Stage of play where they showed some new games that will come out this year and the next one. The show started with a very “unique” game called Baby Steps, I admit I was laughing at the dialogue between characters, I have no idea what the game is about but I am interested to know more. Baby Steps is being produced by Bennet Foddy, Gabe Cuzzillo, and Maxi Boch and it will come out in the summer of 2024. Next, we got the confirmation that yes, indeed, Roblox will be available for PlayStation 4 and 5 on October 10, 2023.
I never played Roblox and tend to be fairly out of the loop, and even I have heard about Roblox in connection with child exploitation. Hope those kids eventually get justice and their predators prevented from harming them.
Not all explicitly leftist, but if they’re not they don’t talk about it much: Defunctland - Deep dives on closed/abandoned theme parks/attractions and lost media. His videos on the Disney fastpass system and Disney channel theme music are amazing. Jay Foreman - Comedic geography videos Noah Samsen - Explicit leftist, mostly covers internet culture but not exclusively I Did A Thing - Unhinged engineering. “World’s largest beyblade” is a good one. Boy Boy - Explicitly leftist, went to the DPRK to get a haircut several years ago. One of the hosts also runs I Did A Thing. Nexpo - Analog and Internet horror Michael Reeves - Unhinged engineering. “Roomba that screams when it bumps into stuff” is a good one. We’re in Hell - Leftist, pop-culture analysis Hbomberguy - Leftist, talks about whatever he wants to honestly. Highly recommend his videos on YouTube plagiarism and the origin of the Roblox “oof” noise Technology connections - How technology works. Often obsolete technology, not always. His videos on dishwashers are a good starting point. Sam O’Nella Academy - Comedy history, he’s probably a lib but still decent and his video on banana republics is pretty on point. Summoning Salt - History of video game speedrunning records.
~~Microsoft~~ Roblox ripped off Discord and branded it as Guilded GG. Features-wise for audio and game streaming, they offer higher quality than Discord for free. Is there any chance you’ll get your group of friends to move to ~~“MS Teams for gamers”?~~ anything other than Discord? No chance. Edited: Correction that Guilded is owned by Roblox, not MS.
So they wanna be Roblox
There are some legitimately impressive games made in Roblox, it’s just a shame it’s so ludicrously predatory, given the right tools the people making those could do some great things.

Skills that you learn for Godot will better translate to other areas, if that’s what you want. Roblox would teach you mechanics but you’d be stuck in Roblox. For scripting languages, while Lua is handy for its embeddability (Luau in Roblox is based on Lua), GDScript is very Python-like, which makes the skills more transferrable.
No one was hurt during the Roblox Developers Conference, and the offending developer was arrested after allegedly fighting the police.
put some UkrSSR stickers on them (in Roblox, of course)
Hi everyone. I have two teenage boys who are obsessed with creating realistic trains in Roblox. We live in Japan so train culture is very prominent. They have spent over 500 hours designing a massive world with trains and buses, but it all belongs to Roblox doesn’t it. I think they have a lot of talent and want to give them an opportunity to develop their own game. What platform would you recommend they start out in? Thanks for any advice,
So, Roblox is shutting down? The entire thing is a child sex crime, so unless they’re shutting down, nothing has changed
