Looking good!
Because it finally forced the rest of the world, especially the United States, to pour resources into space research that the Capitalists, who solely function on a profite incentive and not the common good of humanity, would have never done it by themselves. The Communists achieved their primary objective. To venture onto the space exploration.
The most conventionally attractive woman I ever dated, and she had it all, was so incredibly negative about her body but she thought everyone else was beautiful. It actually got kind of exhausting because I would compliment her, not just her looks either, I spent a lot of time trying to learn how to compliment well while dating her. Complimenting her wardrobe choices, hair styles, jewelry; things she actively put effort into is where I’d try to deliver most of my compliments. Anyway, I felt like I was taking crazy pills because she was an absolute bombshell and the most receptive response to any compliment I ever received was “you’re biased”. I didn’t compliment her because I needed her to respond any certain way but I often wonder what happened that kept her from seeing how gorgeous she was. Another behavior I couldn’t figure out is that she almost seemed more drawn to people that would put her down, almost like she expected that treatment or it was a comfort zone for her or something.

The commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned the US over a “false and futile cycle” of lies and contradictions in its behavior, after Washington first threatened to strike Iranian energy infrastructure and then claimed negotiations had been approved. “The United States, on one hand, speaks of agreement and negotiation, and on the other hand commits villainy,” Major General Ali Abdollahi said in a statement on Thursday. His warning came after President Donald Trump first threatened to “hit Iran VERY HARD TONIGHT” and seize Kharg Island, then hours later announced he had “cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran,” claiming negotiations had been “brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved.” “This clear contradiction in America’s behavior and words is the main cause of insecurity in the region and has jeopardized the security of international trade and economies, especially the Strait of Hormuz,” General Abdollahi said. On Wednesday night, the United States launched airstrikes on several locations in Iran’s southern Hormozgan province, including the cities of Jask and Sirik and Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump declared on Thursday that “at some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets”, only to announce later he had cancelled planned bombings. In Tehran, Fars news agency cited what it described as a source close to Iran’s negotiating team as saying that no text of an initial memorandum of understanding with the US has been confirmed. Abdollahi said US leaders, due to a “lack of proper understanding of the honorable and courageous Iranian nation and its powerful armed forces, are following a false and futile cycle”. He added that America’s repeated lies are among the signs of this cycle, and that Washington can never compensate for its “successive defeats and humiliations” through propaganda and media warfare. The commander warned that if the United States carries out further attacks against Iran, “the fire of war will become widespread and larger, in addition to insecurity in the region”. “If the United States again wishes to carry out attacks against heroic Iran, it will receive a stronger response than before,” General Abdollahi warned. “With regard to recent US threats against Iran’s oil infrastructure, it is announced that either oil and gas exports will be available to everyone, or no one will have access to them.” Abdollahi’s “oil for all or none” warning carries significant weight given that approximately 20% of the world’s oil transits the Strait of Hormuz. The commander emphasized that Iran’s Armed Forces remain in a state of “complete readiness, vigilance, and intelligence dominance” and will “decisively respond to any threat against the country’s security, independence, and territorial integrity with impact-oriented, painful, and regret-inducing operations”. He also dismissed US media warfare as incapable of masking Washington’s battlefield failures. “They can never compensate for their successive defeats and humiliations in the war with Islamic Iran through propaganda and media warfare,” Abdollahi said. Trump Claims that US Will Hit Iran ‘Very Hard’ as US Forces in Region Are Struck Separately, Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics issued a statement marking the first anniversary of the “12-day war” – which Iran calls the “Second Imposed War” – the initial phase of U.S.-Israeli aggression that began on June 23, 2025. The ministry said the war was launched as a “joint invasion by the criminal Zionist regime and America” aimed at “partitioning the country and striking the independence, security, and existence of the Islamic Republic” – at a time when both sides were engaged in diplomacy. “In this war, several high-ranking commanders of the Armed Forces, scientists, elites, and a group of innocent children, women, and civilians were martyred,” the ministry said. “Yet, despite these atrocities, the enemy failed to achieve its goals, and the 12-day Holy Defense turned into an arena of national authority, cohesion among the Armed Forces, solidarity of the Iranian nation, and the defeat of the enemy’s calculations.” The ministry noted that more than 100 nights of popular mobilization in support of the Islamic Revolution and the armed forces represented a “great asset” that have been key to frustrating enemy objectives. These nightly rallies, which began spontaneously after the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on February 28, have drawn millions of Iranians into major squares across the country — from Enghelab Roundabout in Tehran to public squares in Isfahan, Tabriz, Shiraz and Birjand. Participants gather each night waving Iranian flags and chanting in support of the armed forces and the new Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, with many vowing to remain on the streets until the country’s enemies are defeated. “Any miscalculation or aggression against the country’s security and territorial integrity will be met with a decisive, regrettable response far beyond the enemy’s flawed imagination,” the ministry warned. In a decision that Amnesty International described as “completely disproportionate,” four demonstrators with the outlawed group Palestine Action were sentenced as terrorists in the UK on Friday after being convicted for causing damage at an Israeli weapons factory in 2024 to protest the genocide in Gaza. Supporters of the so-called “Filton 4” were filmed crying and embracing outside Woolwich Crown Court in London as the judge, Mr Justice Jeremy Johnson, handed down sentences ranging from four years and eight months to seven years and eight months to the four young defendants. Charlotte Head, 30; Leona Kamio, 30; and Fatema Rajwani, 21, were convicted of criminal damage last month after a break-in at a factory in Bristol owned by the Israeli company Elbit Systems, where they smashed up over a dozen drones and other military equipment, causing around £1.2 million, or $1.6 million, of damage. A fourth defendant, 23-year-old Samuel Corner, was also convicted for the damage, as well as grievous bodily harm without intent for striking a policewoman on the scene with a sledgehammer, fracturing her spine. 🇬🇧 🇵🇸 Four Palestine Action Activists Sentenced as ‘Terrorists’ in UK Legal First Four activists who raided an Elbit Systems arms factory near Bristol in 2024 were sentenced as “terrorists” Friday at Woolwich Crown Court, in what supporters said is the first time UK protesters… pic.twitter.com/gC4MvAXfz4 — Drop Site (@DropSiteNews) June 12, 2026 In what has been described as a legal first for Britain, Johnson sentenced the four defendants as terrorists, although three had only been convicted of property damage. He did so under the Sentencing Act of 2020, which allows nonterrorism crimes to be treated as terrorism if they meet certain criteria. Elbit’s drones have been documented in use during attacks on civilians, including the April 2024 strike on a World Central Kitchen convoy that killed seven aid workers. Last month, 22-year-old Zoe Rogers, another activist who took part in the Elbit raid but was acquitted, said she believed that because of their sabotage of the drones, “innocent lives were saved” in Gaza. However, Johnson did not allow the defendants to explain the reason for their actions as part of the trial, nor were jurors informed that the defendants could later receive sentences for terrorism. Because the protesters had caused “serious damage to property” for the purpose of “advancing a political or ideological cause,” Johnson determined that the protesters could be sentenced as terrorists using the broad definition from the Terrorism Act 2000. The terrorism designation means that defendants will have to serve a minimum of two-thirds of their sentences in prison and will be required to register as terrorists with the police for the next 15 years. Attorneys for the defendants said they were not informed that their clients were at risk of being sentenced for terrorism and accused the prosecution of submitting key evidence, including a report on the cost of damage to the factory, “at the 59th minute of the eleventh hour," giving them little time to form a rebuttal. The defendants’ attorneys described the precedent that someone could be sentenced for terrorism after being convicted of a nonviolent offense as unprecedented and dangerous to speech. “It’s wrong for someone to be sentenced for a more serious offense of which they have not been convicted,” said Corner’s attorney, Tom Wainwright, who noted that similar measures could have been used to sentence earlier protest movements, like the suffragettes or other anti-war demonstrators who sabotaged military equipment, for terrorism simply because their actions had a political motivation. Head’s attorney, Rajiv Menon, described the attempt to sentence his client as unprecedented, and warned that it was “an invitation to chilling, creeping authoritarianism that undermines the very fabric of our society." After their conviction, Wainwright hailed the protesters as people of conscience: "[The drones] may have been involved in taking the lives of men, women, and children in Gaza. That is why they acted. That’s something that—in a sane world—would be commended.” In a post to social media following news of the conviction, Amnesty UK condemned the use of terrorism powers in this case. “It is completely disproportionate to punish protesters for criminal damage as if they were terrorists, a sentence which stays with you for life,” the human rights group said. More than 70 people were arrested for supporting the proscribed group Palestine Action outside Woolwich Crown Court. The arrests happened as four members of Palestine Action were sentenced over a separate incident. pic.twitter.com/kRkXEjbPFm — Channel 4 News (@Channel4News) June 12, 2026 The sentencing comes amid a broader crackdown in the UK against pro-Palestine speech and protest that has ramped up even under a Labour government, which has sought to label even peaceful demonstrations as terrorism. Following another case in which Palestine Action protesters vandalized military equipment—this time on a UK Royal Air Force base—the government of Prime Minister Keir Starmer in 2025 used the same terrorism law cited by Johnson to label the group as proscribed, effectively making it illegal to belong to it or publicly support it. Police have arrested numerous peaceful protesters for no other crime than holding signs that read: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.” Amnesty said in May that more than 3,300 people had been arrested across the UK since the proscription took effect and that more than 1,200 protesters had been charged with terrorism-related offenses. Eight other Palestine Action activists, including four others who have been accused of involvement with the Elbit break-in, went on a lengthy hunger strike this past winter to protest their confinement in prison for more than a year without trial, during which time they alleged that they were denied needed medical care and had their communication with the outside world censored. Amnesty said the Filton 4 “were sentenced as terrorists because prosecutors want to make an example of them.” On Friday, as hundreds rallied outside the court against the terrorism sentence, more than 100 peaceful protesters were also arrested for allegedly supporting Palestine Action. To see Venus and Jupiter together this month, you won’t need binoculars or even a telescope. Just look up after sunset and you’ll find them emerging as the sky grows dark near the western horizon. In fact, on June 9 the two brightest planets were in close conjunction, separated on the sky by less than 2 degrees from our perspective. Since (brighter) inner planet Venus orbits the Sun faster than outer planet Jupiter, it catches up with and passes the outer planet along the ecliptic roughly every 13 months. But every three years or so their resulting conjunction can be viewed far enough from the Sun to be easily seen in Earth’s twilight skies. On June 9, the two celestial beacon’s close “cosmic kiss” was captured here next to the two large standing stones at the cove within a 4,000 year old stone circle at Avebury, UK. Larger than Stonehenge, the Avebury henge and stone circle complex is also recognized as one of the most significant neolithic ceremonial sites on planet Earth. Source>

Bro that was a crazy year for gourd futures
I want to buy a new keyboard. My use case for this particular keyboard will be as what you might consider a tertiary keyboard. I do not need a new primary keyboard that I spend most of my time with on my main computer. I also do not need a new secondary keyboard to keep at my other workstation that I interact with often when not using my primary workstation. What I need is a keyboard that will be my go-to for miscellaneous tasks. When I need to plug into some server temporarily, I want to use this keyboard. When I need to set up a new computer that will later be used by another user with a “normal” keyboard, I want to use this keyboard. Currently, I use a basic office keyboard for this task. I can move it from computer to computer, and it works reliably for these occasional miscellaneous tasks. But after having switched to using split ergo as my primary/secondary keyboards, using this traditional keyboard even occasionally does feel off. If I can, I would like a split ergo that can fill this use case. This means I want a few specifications that are not common for split ergonomic keyboards: Unibody. I will often not be using this keyboard at a desk or other optimal position. As such, having two halves to the keyboard can be cumbersome. I might be just resting the keyboard on my knee or something for a few minutes while I type on it. For this purpose, it would be simpler to have a keyboard that is just one single unit with one single cable. 100%. Most split ergos have just a few dozen keys. This makes sense for a keyboard that I am going to use often and can memorize the layout and all the various layers. But this is a keyboard that I plan to only use occasionally. As such, I want to be able to look at the keys to hunt/peck if I need. I do not want to have to remember what sequence of keys is used to press Alt+F4. I want to look at the keyboard, find the key that is labelled Alt, find the key that is labelled F4, and press those two keys. There are also a few other relevant specs that it seems are very common, but I wanted to mention them anyway: USB C. Preferably, a detachable USB C cable. I do not mind if the keyboard also has Bluetooth/2.4GHz. That will not be a problem if it has the feature, I will just almost certainly never use it. With that said, not needing a battery generally has a list of pros (smaller, lighter, cheaper, etc.). Ortholinear. The big thing that I am trying to get away from here with my current keyboard is its staggered key layout. Swappable caps. I want to be able to have this keyboard clearly labelled in Colemak layout. VIA compatible. At the very least, I should be able to reprogram keys somehow. QMK, ZMK, whatever. Can you think of any suggestions of a good keyboard that fits these requirements? I came across a few that seem like they might fit: Kinesis Advantage2 $399 https://kinesis-ergo.com/keyboards/advantage2-keyboard/ Truly Ergonomic CLEAVE $299 https://trulyergonomic.com/mechanical-keyboards/products/cleave-truly-ergonomic-mechanical-switch-keyboard/ Hazel Cut Slope https://shop.hazel.cc/products/cut-slope ErgoHaven Planeta https://ergohaven.xyz/shop/tproduct/339856256-880659810681-planeta
