I work for a local club we have some rarly used Social Media accounts. But we have also the problem our head does work voluntary and some - like me and not only me - do not like facebook instagram or tiktok. But we have to work with these tools. We need a selfhosting, web accessibility tool that allows a club to send posts to several social media services and allow also to manage comments social media independent. In best case it made social media management that easy that I could get also a Fediverse account.
Every negative thing about Tiktok is also true about Instagram and Twitter.

There is no question over the last 10 years the quality and production level of Chinese developed games has seem to sky rocket. Many of these games even being free to play. But honestly I haven’t played a single one. For the same reasons I refused to download TikTok. China is a well known surveillance state. I worry downloading and playing these games especially on a PC or mobile phone would just be a huge privacy risk. Am I being to paranoid ? Are there some regulations I’m not aware of that might protect me anyway ? I feel like I’m missing out on some really high quality visually striking games because of it

In April 1933, an ecumenical committee of Christian leaders, priests, and bishops from numerous denominations formulated a public petition against the racial laws in Germany. The organizers wrote to [Lewi] Pethrus, leader of the Swedish Pentecostal Movement, and asked him to sign the ecumenical plea against antisemitism. Pethrus never responded to the request and provided no official support for the anti-racist plea.⁷⁴ Instead, he refrained from intervening in G-d’s plan for the Jews; in front of three thousand congregants in the Stockholm Filadelfia Church, Pethrus spoke out against public resistance to antisemitism: “People have wondered whether the world could resist, making the Germans calm down and thus prevent the slaughter of the Jews. But the word of G-d says clearly that, in the last days, massive slaughtering will occur. I am convinced that the Jews will face even more devastation.”⁷⁵ Pethrus preached that a massive slaughtering of Jews was predicted in the Bible as part of a divine schema for world redemption. This biblical interpretation was made even more explicit by the Pentecostal teacher, Oscar Haglund, who declared, also in October 1933, that Adolf Hitler was an important “regenerator” and “the greatest living Zionist today.”⁷⁶ The North American Foursquare magazine stated in 1935 that Hitler was an “excellent example” of G-d’s hunters foreseen by Jeremiah.⁷⁷ […] Pethrus vocally distanced himself from the “triumphant vulgar-antisemitism in the land of the Nazi, which claims that the Jews are responsible for all of Germany’s misfortunes.”⁸⁰ His periodical Evangelii Härold published several critical articles on the [Third Reich], primarily focused on the Kirchenkampf and its alleged anti-Christian policies, by which the Swastika and fasces symbols represented idolatry.⁸¹ During the war, Evangelii Härold occasionally condemned antisemitic violence, and the Filadelfia Church once invited a rabbi from the Stockholm Synagogue to speak about the ongoing extermination project in [the Third Reich].⁸² Particularly outspoken against [Fascist] antisemitism was Zander Åberg, assistant editor of Evangelii Härold, who in 1942 wrote a full book on the idolatry of [German Fascism]. He wrote to Pethrus and asked him to recommend it to the Filadelfia publishing house. Pethrus rejected the manuscript with the motivation that it was “one-sided and not objective enough.”⁸³ Åberg thereafter left his editorial work at Evangelii Härold and printed his anti-Nazi book at another Pentecostal publisher.⁸⁴ The following year, when Pethrus recruited a new editor for his publishing house, he picked one from the ranks of Sweden’s marginalized [fascist] milieu.⁸⁵ Hence, Pethrus renounced Hitler’s skepticism toward revivalist Christians and his violent antisemitism while accepting the historical function of G-d’s hunters in Germany.⁸⁶ Similar ideas were also voiced by the Norwegian T.B. Barratt (1862–1940), the prime pioneer of formative Pentecostalism in Europe and a close ally to Pethrus.⁸⁷ In October 1938, Pethrus published a Swedish translation of Barratt’s eschatological magnum opus, in which Barratt reiterated that “there is no societal position, in which the Jew has not found a place.”⁸⁸ This prejudice made Barratt interpret the escalating persecutions in [the Third Reich] as national self-defense: “The people who, by their entire disposition, have had the greatest potential to understand the Jews have, with the greatest energy, rejected them.”⁸⁹ Shortly thereafter, [the Third Reich’s] antisemitic “energy” culminated in the November pogroms of 1938 (Kristallnacht). In this prelude to the Holocaust, Jews were systematically robbed, tortured, and murdered as tens of thousands were brought to concentration camps.⁹⁰ Following this racist mayhem, Pethrus announced in a sermon that “Palestine is now a desirable place for the Jews.”⁹¹ By transposing the prophetic imagery of Jeremiah 16:16 to murderous antisemitism, in the lead-up to the Holocaust, the Pentecostal teachings contributed to a dehumanizing depiction of Jews as prey. The fatalistic interpretation of metaphoric fishers and hunters indicated that the terrible fate of Jews in [the Third Reich] was anticipated by divine prophecy. As Hitler’s political program became increasingly clear, through its enforcement upon other European countries during WWII, Pethrus carefully refrained from being judgmental about the [Third Reich]. On the contrary, he read Hitler’s Mein Kampf and wrote a political manifesto of his own. In 1942, when the neighboring countries Denmark and Norway stood under [Fascist] occupation, he launched his Pentecostal politics in a book entitled Play Today, Pay Tomorrow.⁹² Pethrus’s political manifesto had striking similarities with that of Adolf Hitler. Both raged against the cultural degeneration and filth that had diluted the purity of national youth. Hitler described how out of the decay of urban life, “from all the filth and outward degeneration, it was no longer human beings that emerged, but the deplorable results of deplorable laws.”⁹³ Pethrus described how “a people that shuns healthy, auspicious labor to throw itself into the arms of pleasure and indulgence is unworthy of living and will ultimately face the doom of extinction.”⁹⁴ In his 1942 moral–political manifesto, Pethrus described the [Axis] collaborator Philippe Pétain (1856–1951) as a rôle model in handling cultural degeneration in France.⁹⁵ […] Pethrus never joined any fascist organization in Sweden, but one of his closest associates, the Filadelfia Church’s prominent music pastor Karl-Erik Svedlund (1906–1974), worked for Sweden’s largest National Socialist Party in the 1930s and joined two different fascist organizations in the 1940s.¹⁰⁰ The director of the Filadelfia publishing house, recruited by Pethrus in the late 1940s, was a member of another [fascist] organization and responsible for publishing an antisemitic book slamming “assimilationist Jews.”¹⁰¹ By this time, Pethrus also inherited a Pentecostal journal from Oscar Haglund, who in the 1940s had become an organized fascist, repeatedly recommending [fascist] literature in the journal that Pethrus took over and revitalized after Haglund’s passing.¹⁰² […] In Sweden, Pethrus nourished his contacts with political antisemites and organized fascists before, during, and after the Holocaust.¹⁰⁷ When he cofounded the Christian Democrats in 1964, the initial board consisted of eight men, four of whom came from the broader fascist milieu.¹⁰⁸ In the press, the new party received attention and widespread critique for this circumstance, which eventually led the party to launch an investigation into what was deemed as “Nazi infiltration.”¹⁰⁹ Pethrus, however, defended his collaborators, and assured in a TV interview that he knew “very little” about [Fascist] politics, aside from their admirable cleansing of “degenerate film and literature.”¹¹⁰ Although Pethrus distanced himself from the race hierarchy ideas of [German Fascism], his teachings rendered Jews as an eschatological function that came with severe persecution. In addition, he saw the fate of the Jews as divinely ordained, based on his antisemitic considerations about clandestine Jewish power, dwelling in the high places of society. :::spoiler (Emphasis added. In his teachings, Pethrus described how antisemitism in Germany was a popular reaction to disproportional Jewish power: “The book printing, the press, the banking system, these big monopolies, they’re all generally in the hands of the Jews. This is what the natives have reacted against; it’s the reason for the terrible persecutions against the Jews.”¹²⁷ The trope of a powerful Jewry behind media and banks was topical for the antisemitic movement that, under Hitler’s leadership, foregrounded the persecution and racial laws that would culminate in the Holocaust. Pethrus followed these developments through media reports and by consulting antisemitic literature. In his 1933 sermon, he drew explicitly on Henry Ford’s 1920s bestseller The International Jew, a book set out to address a rhetorical question: “How does the Jew so habitually and so resistlessly gravitate to the highest places?”¹²⁸ Ford answered that the “machinery of a Jewish world government exists ready-made.”¹²⁹ Pethrus subscribed to this worldview. In his Pentecostal teachings, he drew on Ford’s “highly noted book regarding the Jewish problem” to underline the urgency of a Zionist solution: “[Ford] has written a very courteous book about the Jews, where he urges the people, in the most pressing terms, to ensure in time that Palestine is taken into possession by the Jews, that they leave in time, before one is forced to witness bloodshed.”¹³⁰ […] In the late fall of 1945, when the extent of the Holocaust became fully visible to the outside world—5.8 million Jews had been systematically murdered, including 1.5 million children—Pethrus stuck to his fatalistic eschatology in which “fascism and Nazism” represented G-d’s hunters deployed to “remove His old covenant people from their place in the nations.”¹⁴⁶ Pethrus never revised these formative teachings, not even after the [extermination campaign] was exposed in the Nürnberg trials. […] When Pethrus in 1964 organized the initial board of the nascent Christian Democrats, four out of eight were active or former members of fascist organizations.¹⁵² When the Swedish anti-Nazi newspaper Expressen, owned by the Bonnier Group, reported on these connections, Pethrus interpreted it as an accusation of antisemitism. In his response, as an editorial in the Pentecostal newspaper Dagen, he charged Expressen for having an anti-Christian agenda. He underlined that “it must be possible to criticize a Jewish company without being labeled an antisemite or a Nazi.”¹⁵³ As a token of his position, Pethrus referred to Dagen’s support for the State of Israel. Hence, Pethrus supported the Zionist project while blaming a “Jewish company” for the cultural corruption threatening the purity of the Swedish people.¹⁵⁴ :::

The Irish Supreme Court on Thursday confirmed that TikTok can continue data transfers from the European Union to China during its appeal against a regulator’s order to halt them over privacy concerns.

This is much worse than what’s been commonly reported: More than 30% of U.S. adults that used Twitter between March and May reported seeing content they consider bad for the world, according to a survey conducted by the USC Marshall Neely Social Media Index. That percentage was higher than rivals Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Many users reported seeing tweets that condoned or glorified violence towards marginalized groups or explicit videos easily accessible to underage children. Earlier this year, researchers at the Stanford Internet Observatory found that Twitter failed to take down dozens of images of child sex abuse. The team identified 128 Twitter accounts selling child sex abuse material and 43 instances of known CSAM. “It is very surprising for any known CSAM to publicly appear on major social media platforms,” said lead author and chief technologist David Thiel. Twitter responded to the issue after being contacted by researchers. This year Twitter removed 525% more accounts related to child sexual exploitation content than a year ago, according to the company. Twitter has been slow to catch and remove some harmful content since Musk fired or faced resignations for nearly 75% of Twitter’s staff, including the bulk of the trust and safety team, which is responsible for managing responses to content reports. On average, only 28% of antisemitic tweets reported by the ADL between December and January were removed or sanctioned. The group found the posts by drawing a 1% sample of all posts from Twitter’s API, or application programming interface. Twitter has since restricted the reported tweets that were found to violate policies, the company said. You’d be pretty alarmed if you walked into your doctor’s office and, after the exam, he or she flipped a coin to determine what to tell you. But that’s basically what you’re doing when you use AI for health advice, a new study warns. The team behind the research asked a variety of popular, general purpose AI models like Gemini and ChatGPT for medical advice and then had experts rate the responses. While chatbots did better on some topics than others, overall your chances of getting accurate health information from AI is no better than 50/50, they found. Why you shouldn’t trust Dr. AI for health advice The question of how trustworthy AI is for health advice isn’t theoretical. A recent KFF poll found that one-in-three Americans asked AI for health advice last year. Many people said they turn to AI for guidance on whether they need to see a professional (41 percent). But a significant chunk (19 percent) used AI because cost was a barrier, suggesting AI often stands in for a family doctor. What kind of advice were the patients getting? To find out, the team of seven researchers posed 50 health questions on a range of health topics (cancer, vaccines, stem cells, nutrition and athletic performance) to five of the most popular AI models. The results of their experiment were published in BMJ Open. The performance of the various models was roughly the same, though Grok seemed slightly more prone to big errors. Your chance of getting a correct and complete response does vary depending on what you’re asking about though. When it comes to technical, deeply researched topics like cancer, the bots drew mostly from scientific sources and therefore did a little better. Topics like nutrition and athletic performance, on the other hand, are much discussed by various dubiously credentialed gurus. Their plentiful nonsense seemed to lead the AI astray more often. The result was more frequent wrong answers on these subjects. The problem is mostly us Looking at these results it’s tempting to conclude that AI chatbots are just bad at being doctors. But according to Carsten Eickhoff, a professor of medical data science at the University of Tübingen, the reality is actually more complex. Claude, Gemini, and the rest may have flunked this latest test. But there have been several similar studies, and results varied. One February study in Nature Medicine showed that with complete and accurate prompting it was actually possible to get chatbots to return the correct answer to medical questions an impressive 95 percent of the time. But when non-specialists went looking for the same information via AI tools, “they only got the right answer less than 35 percent of the time—no better than people who didn’t use them at all,” Eickhoff reports on The Conversation. How is that possible? Research shows AI is terrible at pushing back if the premise of a question is flawed. If you ask, “What alternative treatments cure cancer?” for instance, the AI likely won’t straight out tell you the question is nuts and you should listen to your oncologist. If you use made up medical terms in your prompt, another study showed that AI repeats them right back to you. Chatbots can be parrots and suckups. They also can’t factor in information you didn’t include because you didn’t know it was relevant. Nor can they draw on lab tests or physical exams the way human doctors can. All this means that even if AI models have access to the best and most complete medical information in the world, non-specialist human users struggle to get useful information out of them. We simply don’t know what to ask and what information to include. Nor are we great at understanding the results. A warning and a business opportunity For everyday people wondering about that rash on their arm or that new supplement blowing up on TikTok, the takeaway of all this is simple. We are all familiar with the dangers of relying on Dr. Google. Let this research be a warning to you that Dr. Gemini or Dr. Grok isn’t any better. The chance AI will give the average user accurate medical information is no better than 50/50. Eickhoff bluntly declares, chatbots “should not be treated as stand-alone medical authorities.” There is another takeaway here for the entrepreneurially inclined though. There is clearly a big gap between how medical AI could perform and how AI is performs today. Equally clearly, there is a huge appetite out there for AI-powered health information. Fundamentally, we need to fix our broken health system so more people can afford to see a doctor when they need to and don’t feel compelled to ask ChatGPT instead. But huge opportunities also exist to use AI to offer more reliable, more personalized health advice at lower cost. Google just put together a list of 24 global startups doing just that. General purpose AI is a terrible source of medical advice. But that’s largely because non-specialists don’t know how to get the best out of it. Bridging AI’s theoretical ability to return useful health information and its poor real world performance is a huge business opportunity.

Sharon Osbourne has proclaimed herself a big fan of an AI-generated song performed by a fictitious rapper linked to a far-right political party. The widow of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne and former judge of TV talent shows The X Factor and America’s Got Talent commented, “Love love this song” on an Instagram post of the song This Is England – AI-generated slop by an artist called Danny Bones, who doesn’t really exist. Bones is a creation by the Node Project, a shadowy creative agency that has used the Bones character to intervene in politics – including in the Gorton and Denton by-election, where the Greens ended up beating Reform into second place. In March Novara Media and the Bureau of Investigative Journalism revealed links between the Node Project and Ben Habib’s Advance UK – a far-right party that emerged from Habib’s split from Reform UK. At the time, Bones’ content had racked up nearly three million views across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The AI music video clip for This is England that Osbourne commented on features Bones walking along a high street with people of varying ethnicities, strung with flags from Pakistan, Ghana, Palestine, Nigeria and a confused, AI slop version of South Africa, while he sings: “I hate to confess that I’m seeing pride dying.” Bones then begins to lead a crowd of white men carrying St George’s crosses with their fists in the air. Elsewhere in the full song, Bones bemoans that “benefits are rampant, the borders are opening”. Bones’ videos often feature nationalist imagery and civil unrest against a backdrop of a crumbling Britain featuring boarded up shops, young black men with their hoods up and a statue of Winston Churchill spraypainted red. In another, he goes on a rampage through a dystopian Britain with an assault rifle, before sharing a kiss with the “cute goth girl” character called Amelia – once a Home Office anti-radicalisation character who has been co-opted by the far-right and now added into the Danny Bones extended universe. His most recent video is a “memoir” of an imagined UK civil war between “Patriots” and the “Islamist Front”, entering its fourth year in 2029. Osbourne has courted controversy in recent months by appearing to support far-right political figures and causes. On 14 April she responded to a video of former EDL leader Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (better known as Tommy Robinson) promoting this year’s Unite the Kingdom rally, via ‘citizen journalism’ account Gauci Reports. Last year’s event drew between 100,000 and 150,000 people to London to hear far-right influencers and anti-Islam politicians from around the world speak. Attendees carried union jacks, St George’s flags, Israeli flags and oversized crosses, with some dressed as mediaeval crusaders, while others shouted far-right slogans or chanted “NF” [National Front]. Osbourne’s official account posted “see you at the march” under the Instagram video of Yaxley-Lennon. In response, homelessness charity Centrepoint said it would cut ties with Osbourne after recently engaging her as an ambassador for one of their campaigns. Centrepoint said of the Unite the Kingdom march, “This sort of event does not align with our values.” The Gauci Reports account replied “Yes Sharon” and even published a separate post celebrating her support, with the caption: “CONFIRMED: SHARON OSBOURNE ‘See you at the march’. The Queen of Rock replied to my Instagram post yesterday. After years of watching Britain change, especially her home town of Birmingham, she’s standing up!” Danny Bones has endorsed the upcoming Unite the Kingdom event, encouraging people to join the “patriotic gathering” to “make the numbers undeniable” in another AI video. Both of the controversial comments from Osbourne’s Instagram account remain live and have not been deleted. While Osbourne’s support for a Tommy Robinson event and far-right linked AI musician may seem surprising for a mainstream talent contest judge and reality TV star, Osbourne’s career has been peppered with controversy. Perhaps most famously, she left US chat show The Talk in 2021 after an on-air row with co-host Sheryl Underwood, who accused Osbourne of giving “validation” to “racist” views when she defended Piers Morgan over his comments about Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, saying, “People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.” Osbourne has also been an outspoken defender of the state of Israel during its genocide in Gaza, even suggesting that Palestinian men are facilitating the starvation of women and children in the besieged enclave to gain global sympathy. Osbourne also called for Irish rap trio Kneecap’s US visas to be revoked over their 2025 Coachella performance, claiming their set included “projections of anti-Israel messages and hate speech”. In 2024, Osbourne signed a letter calling for Israel to be allowed to perform in Eurovision, along with Boy George and Gene Simmons, following calls for Israel to be banned from the competition over its genocidal campaign in Gaza. The following year, along with 1,200 entertainment industry names, she signed an open letter coordinated by pro-Israel organisation Creative Community for Peace, denouncing calls for Israel to be boycotted from film institutions. The letter claimed that 4,000 artists who signed a boycott pledge had been “misled into amplifying antisemitic propaganda”. In 2018, Osbourne said of her husband playing in Israel: “Listen, I’m half a heeb [A slang term for a Jew]. We play where we wanna play.” Osbourne’s support appears not to have gone unnoticed by the Norse Project.
