If you’re attuned to the Force and are going into a situation where you expect you might get shot you’ll have elevated senses and faster reaction times. But Order 66 proved that getting shot in the back when you least expect it is an efficient way to kill a lot of Jedi. Yoda had plot armor, you would think he would have been the first one Sheev had hit so that he didn’t have a chance to feel all those deaths ripple through the Force.

How can I block websites?

It can help. A lot of the time I go on Reddit for example starts subconscious. If that doesn’t work the conscious part kicks in and I know I don’t want to visit that craphole so I close the tab again and put the phone aside. Otherwise I see content and keep scrolling.

Incarcerated activist Malik Muhammad’s standing client call in March with their lawyer had been canceled without any real explanation. When Muhammad’s attorney, Lauren Regan, went to check their status on the Oregon Inmate Tracker, she found nothing. They seemed to have vanished without a trace. Friends and family feared the worst. Muhammad, an army veteran and activist serving the longest federal sentence of any 2020 Black Lives Matter protester, had been a target inside the state prison because of their outspoken political beliefs and organizing efforts while incarcerated, several of their friends and supporters told The Intercept. “We were calling everyone,” said Christopher Kuttruff, a close friend and supporter. “We were terrified that they were in the hospital or dead …your mind obviously goes to the worst places.” For weeks, the activist disappeared from all tracking systems. The best Muhammad’s supporters could ascertain by early April was that they had been transferred to a “confidential location.” Late that month, Muhammad was able to get a letter out to their partner from Kirkland Correctional Institute, in South Carolina, an intake facility 3,000 thousand miles from Oregon — or, as Regan puts it, “as far away from me as possible.”

Fifa drops Somali referee from World Cup after US denies entry

Football governing body Fifa has removed Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan from the 2026 World Cup officiating roster after American authorities denied him entry into the country, ending what would have been the first World Cup finals appearance by a Somali match official. Artan, the Confederation of African Football’s men’s referee of the year in 2025, was barred from entering the US at Miami International Airport and is currently in Turkey. US immigration authorities have not publicly provided a reason for the decision. In a statement, Fifa said Artan would be unable to participate in the tournament after discussions with US authorities.

Previously, the NHS Service Standard held that “public services are built with public money, so unless there’s a good reason not to, the code they’re based on should be made available for other people to reuse and build on.” This is what the current policy should be reverted to. NHS England has issued guidance, called SDLC-8, which requires that all source code repositories be private from the 11th of May, 2026, unless there is an exceptional need, approved by the Engineering Board. The Free Software Foundation Europe have warned that open repositories allow security researchers to inspect and report vulnerabilities, and that de-publishing code does nothing to prevent attackers from analysing already-deployed systems, binaries, or previously copied source code.

Iran Reveals Intel. Op. Tracing US Military Aircraft to Diego Garcia

Iranian sources claim a sophisticated intelligence operation tracked US P-8 aircraft and F-35 jets across multiple bases in the Gulf and Jordan. Iran has executed a sophisticated intelligence and operational plan in the strikes launched against several US military bases in the region early Thursday morning, Fars reported, citing a senior Iranian military source. The source, speaking to Fars News Agency, stated that the strikes inflicted significant losses on expensive equipment belonging to US forces in the region. In a detailed account of the operation, the source reported that Iranian forces tracked the flight path and positioning of two large US P-8 aircraft from the moment they took off. One of the aircraft was reportedly arriving from the Diego Garcia airbase in the central Indian Ocean, while the other was flying from a US base in Western Europe, heading toward the southern Gulf. According to the source, the precise locations of these two aircraft, at the Shaikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain and the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, were subsequently struck by Iranian precision weapons. The announcement cited “the continued mischief of criminal America” and “the beginning of attacks by that country’s aggressive army on some areas in the south of Hormozgan province.” The IRGC also denied US claims that ships were still passing through the strait, stating, “The US claim of a ship crossing the said strait is denied.” US launches aggression on IranEarlier on June 11, Iranian air defenses were activated in several areas early Wednesday after reports emerged of explosions in southern Iran and neighboring Iraq, according to Iranian state media. Air defense systems were triggered west of the capital, Tehran, while explosions were heard in the cities of Sirik and Minab, both located in the Hormozgan province. Iranian state television later reported that air defenses had also been activated in Asaluyeh, a major energy hub in southern Iran. The broadcaster added that five hostile projectiles had targeted a location in Minab. Further explosions were reported in Bandar Abbas, including in the vicinity of the city’s airport and an Air Force base, according to the official IRNA news agency. The activation of air defense systems came shortly after Iranian authorities announced heightened readiness in western Tehran and several southern regions, including strategic energy sites, as regional military tensions continue to rise. Meanwhile, Tasnim News Agency denied earlier claims of explosions on Qeshm Island and other nearby islands. Day 695 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing

Today’s game is Jedi Fallen Order. I finished Twilight Princess yesterday and after being left with that, the sword play reminded me this went unplayed. I struggle with souls likes, but I really like this game so I’ve dedicated myself to beating the story. I want to try and 100% it but I’m not going to promise myself that as I know I might struggle with it. The progress I made was significantly hampered by the photo mode. Now that I’ve had proper training in using a camera I put some of that to use and took some pictures. It was fun. I think I prefer working with video games more than real life stuff just because it’s easier and also there’s some unique sights to see. I made it as far as the large ship before turning it off. I think I’m going to lower the difficulty down to story. I wanted to challenge myself but I think I’m struggling too much. We’ll see more tomorrow though

Longevity of fabric pots? Looking for general advice and experiences

I’ve been using them for the past couple years and they’ve lasted so far. Can’t say anything beyond that yet. Overall I’ve had a good experience. They are space efficient when not in use, reduce girdling root issues, and are cheap. Biggest issue is that they do dry out a little faster but it’s a minor thing. I’m sure they will turn into microplastics eventually but so does every plastic option. Terra cotta would be really your main option if you want to avoid that.
