Taking it private just means taking it off the stock market (the news of it possibly going private has already cause the share price to spike). Honestly, public trading of games companies sucks anyway and is what drives all the shit you see from the likes of EA, Take Two, Roblox etc. Under private control, and less drive to bleed every drop of value out of every property might mean we can get classics like Beyond Good and Evil again.

So Roblox is already complete shit exploitation machine but adding in this crutch as you put it to kids that are in the one of the most influential part of their development and making this the norm and to not develop any skills, to accept slop as art and not developing their own style and stunting their ability before it gets a chance to develop. To use your own analogy, I see it as giving a perfectly able kid a crutch and teaching them that’s how to properly walk. You get fucked up adults that can never run.

Kids are roleplaying ICE agents in Roblox

I just watched a live interview with Taylor Lorenz. She said that everyone in the article was children between the age 11-17. She said that many of the children knew people who had been victims of ICE and some of the children were re-enacting things that they experienced. She also said that one child was shouting “No human is illegal” and shooting at ICE in roblox.

Also worth considering: The whole payment processor porn ban thing was ostensibly about “protecting the children,” so it’s probably best to be careful about how you cheer on similar justifications elsewhere. I’m not saying Roblox isn’t harming children (it ABSOLUTELY is), I’m just saying to keep your guard up.
